Registration
The registration form is located at the bottom of the page. You can choose to print off the PDF and mail it or you may choose to complete the form and email it to the listed email address of our treasurer Tommy Foy. If you will be emailing your registration you will need to pay online using our paypal link or mail a check separately, please indicate in your email which you intend to do.

The 2018 WJOA Conference will again be held at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells October 23rd-24th.

This is a tentative schedule for 2018 Conference! We have some very exciting topics this year with great information brought to you by wonderful speakers. I know we are all excited and hopefully you are too!

2018 WJOA Human Trafficking & Juveniles

October 23, 2018

7:30 – 8:30 am: Registration & Welcoming

9:00 – 10:00 am: A Survivor’s Story

10:15 – 11:30 am: Assistant Attorney General Miriam Falk, WI-Department of Justice, Training & Standards Bureau. Presenting on Human Trafficking Investigations and related Legal issues.

Lunch 12:00 – 1:30 pm: Buffet style lunch with board meeting following

1:30 – 2:45 pm: Assistant Attorney General Miriam Falk, WI-Department of Justice, Training & Standards Bureau. Presenting on Human Trafficking Investigations and related Legal issues.

3:00 – 4:00 pm: Glenn Rehberg, WI-Department of Justice, Presenting on Wisconsin School Safety Grant

1:00 – 2:30 pm: Dana Miller/Matt Joy, WI-Division of Criminal Investigation/ICAC, Presenting on Social Media/Trending Apps & What should SRO’s do in Human Trafficking Cases?

2:45 – 4:00 pm: Amanda Didier MS CSW, Executive Director at Lakeshore Regional Child Advocacy Center, Presenting on Forensic Interviews pertaining to Human Trafficking

On Wednesday, October 24th, registrants can choose to attend a Threat Assessment Team Course as well. This Course will explain who should be a part of the threat assessment team, the intent behind the assessment tools such as the Violence Risk Assessment, how to assess the risk level associated with a threat, and how to determine the appropriate response to a specific threat. Attendees will complete table top exercises and evaluate their own policies. Attendees are encouraged to bring the threat assessment tools used in their school district and their school district’s policy regarding threats of violence to the training. This is an eight hour course delivered by school administrators and law enforcement officers.
