Registration
The registration form is located at the bottom of the page. You can choose to print off the PDF and mail it or you may choose to complete the form in WORD and email it to the listed email address of our treasurer Ben Bastian. If you will be emailing your registration you will need to pay online using our paypal link or mail a check separately, please indicate in your email which you intend to do.

The 2017 WJOA Conference will again be held at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells October 16th-17th.

This is what 2017 Conference is going to look like! We have some very exciting topics this year with great information brought to you by wonderful speakers. I know we are all excited and hopefully you are too!

7:30– 8:30      Registration

8:30—9:15      Welcome and Opening Remarks

9:15 - 9:30      Break

9:30—11:30    Legal Update  Dave Perlman, Assistant Attorney General (2 training hrs.)

11:30 - 1:00    LUNCH (Provided)

1:00—4:00      “Power struggles Unplugged” Brian Mendler (Keynote)

     How to diffuse power struggles with any student, in any situation, at anytime with this 2 step process.   Learn how to connect with challenging, hard to reach students to form relationships.  (3 training hrs.)

6:00 - 8:00       Social Event/Hospitality –TBD

**Please note there are (2) Options on Day #2** 8:00  am - 5:00 pm (2) Separate 8 hour blocks 

(One for SRO’s and One for School Professionals) on Mental Health First Aid.

 Upon COMPLETION of the 8 hour class, certification is obtained.

8:00—9:45   Child Advocacy Centers and Schools  Amanda Didier (1.75 training hrs.)

10:00 –11:45   ICAC Presentation  WI DOJ Special Agents, Matt Joy & Dana Miller                                                      (1.75 training hrs.)

12:00 - 1:00    LUNCH /Annual WJOA Membership Meeting

1:00—2:45     NASRO Module  Understanding Diversity within Schools (1.75 training hrs.)

3:00—4:30    Trauma Informed Care  Waupaca County DHHS  (1.5 training hrs.)

**Training Hours are noted for state training and standards auditing purposes and ACADIS entry.  Each conference attendee will be responsible for obtaining documentation of attended training and reporting individual training hours to their respective agency.  WJOA is not responsible for ACADIS entry.  Training certificates must be picked up at the conclusion of the conference and will not be available prior to the conclusion of the final speaker’s presentation.
